1. Broken Rotors ? There are replacement rotor kits that you can purchase from retailers to get up flying again for Blackghost, Micro Mosquito, FireFly, Bladerunner3, Spider-man 3 helicopters, and even some previous generation of Bladerunner elicopters

The rotor systems consist of the center hubs, pins, blades and the outer ring. The combination of the patented design allows for passive stabilization and self-correctness - hence allowing stable flight. The rotors by its design have to work in harmony and in complete form. If there is a broken blade or disconnected section, it will not work well and will cause further damage. Replacement rotors are available from retailers or www.rctoys.com or from our customer service department. Call us at 1-866-214-2220 for ordering replacement rotors.

* Shown above are retailer packaged replacement rotor kits only.

How to choose the right rotors.
We have manufactured quite a variety of Bladerunner helicopters in the past. The rotor bladers are generally following the same design with different sizes in diameter (140mm, 150mm, 160mm, 240mm and 290mm). They all have very good fit and finish for the products they were intended for. Each set of replacement rotor kit comes in a package including the upper rotor blades, lower rotor blades and miscellaneous accessories like tube spacers, rubber stoppers and instruction sheet.

Looking for instruction to replace the rotors

An instruction sheet is provided in the replacement rotors set. Each set comes with the top and bottom rotor blades, tube spacers, silicone tubes and miscellaneous hardware relevant to that helicopter.

Click this link to see instructions for replacing rotor kits for BlackGhost, other series of the Bladerunner, Bladerunner3 and Spider-man 3 helicopter are all designed the same way.

Replacement Rotors for Bladerunner Series of helicopters rotors are very similar - this specific exampleis for Micro Mosquito and FireFly

Upper Rotor (Cross Member - we call it the hub)
Bottom Rotorwith a long stem (Cross Member - we call it the hub)
Silicone Cap (Cross Member
Tube Spacers (for certain helicopters are in two pieces)

Instructions

Slide the bottom rotor with the long stem (ensuring that it interlocks with the spur gears) down the drive shaft. Slide down 1 of the supplied spacers. Next, slide the upper rotor down the shaft (ensuring the center bore hole is aligned correctly, as the bore is not entirely round, it has a flat surface that looks like a half circle) and then slide a rubber stopper on top of the entire assembly.

If there is extra protruding out of the shaft, then cut the rubber spacer and this will be very useful as parts for the bottom end cap.

Under certain circumstances, and only applicable to certain damages from the rotor blades, customer can DIY affix a Scotch or 3M tape to connect the two disconnected member rotor blades together. Please check out the following 2 videos of how we have suggested a temporary fix to the Spider-man 3 Helicopter that has suffered from damage.

The type of tape recommended for this DIY tape is Scotch or 3M's semi-transparent.

2. Replacing propellers for AirRage Micro Fighters and Razor Micro R/C planes

A set of extra propellers are supplied for both the Micro Fighters and Razor Micro R/C planes. The two propellers are different and will provide different thrust. It is crucial for customers to determine which one needs replacing - identifying either the left (L) or the right (R). There is a symbol embosed on each propeller with a L and a R.

Click here to watch the video of Micro Fighter Plane RTF F22 Raptor propellers replacement;

To determine which is Left and Right, please look at the back of the plane like the following RAZOR R/C plane and observe the small embossed capital letter L or R.

3. iFly VAMP has a large turning circle, how can i steer the VAMP to turn tigther and still have a stable flight.

As the manufacturer of this innovative flying toy - we are certainly knowledgeable in terms of supporting our customers and suggesting better tips for enhancing your experience. This VAMP likes to fly slow and steady. When you powered in full throttle, it likes to climb as in any flying bird or bat, and because when you applied full speed, the thrust that the wings created is more concentrating in thrusting the body of the VAMP, the steering mechanism is over powered by the thrusting force. In order to do smaller turning circle (ie. tigther turns), let go of the throttle to 1/4 speed or half speed and apply full left or right stick controls. You will find that this will slow the VAMP down to a level that allows it turn better.   This is somewhat similar to our car driving experience where speed is counter productive to the ability to turn.
